The neck portion has a rear protective layer to keep the shirt edge from irritating the neck, and the buttons on the front are easy to snap into place.Overall, this blouse is well worth the price. The thickness of the material is enough for fall and winter, but not so heavy that you couldn't use it during the spring. My only complaint is that the ends of the sleeves feel a little cheap compared to the rest of the shirt due to the design. The flared design means there is a line of elastic that is attached with a single seam rather than the reinforced ones. It's mostly a preference, and the shirt is still great quality and worth it in my opinion, especially for the collar!
